Group Therapy
Teen Eating Disorder Group

Small group therapy for teens (14-18) who are looking for additional support, connection, and development of coping skills. Many teens have been greatly affected by the COVID19 crisis and the changes to their support systems, routines, and the ability for social connection. While navigating these changes, teens may find themselves struggling more with stress, anxiety, and depression which can impact relationships, academic performance, and well-being.

This is a 10-week program and is conducted in a process and skills-based format. We focus on many themes including ways to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, social isolation, and process feelings about the impact of the pandemic. In addition, we explore issues related to body image distress, disordered eating, unhelpful patterns of perfectionism, ED recovery challenges and support, and issues with self-esteem and confidence.

Contact for a free consultation to see if this group could be a good fit for you.

Through couples therapy, individuals will build skills that improve overall aspects of the relationship, learn to resolve conflict, improve connection, and increase effective communication. In doing so, couples are equipped to make thoughtful decisions about their lives and future. Issues in treatment can include:

  • Infidelity

  • Family conflict

  • Separation

  • Parenting/Coparenting

  • Communication issues

  • Postpartum issues

Families

Systemic interventions are a large part of how I work with families in treatment. It is important to understand the family structure, strengthen roles, establish boundaries, and identify the barriers to connection. Issues in treatment include:

  • Family or Sibling Conflict

  • Life Transitions

  • Blended family issues

  • LGBTQ+ Issues

  • Grief and loss

  • Step-parenting Relationships
